Community Guidelines

Ambobs is a text-first social network built around posts, profiles, comments, replies, and conversations. These guidelines describe the kind of community we want to build and the basic boundaries for participating in it.

Talk to people, not at them

People will disagree on Ambobs. That is normal. Make room for different opinions and keep disagreements focused on ideas rather than turning them into personal attacks, intimidation, or repeated abuse.

Be genuine

Do not pretend to be another person or organization in order to deceive people. You are free to express yourself through your own profile and voice, but deliberately misleading others about who you are or what you represent is not part of a healthy community.

Respect privacy

Do not publish someone else's private information, account credentials, financial information, or other sensitive personal information without a legitimate reason and appropriate permission.

Don't use Ambobs to harm or disrupt other people

Do not use the service for threats, targeted harassment, fraud, malicious code, credential theft, unauthorized access, or other conduct that can seriously harm people or the service.

Keep the community usable

Do not flood conversations with repetitive material, create large amounts of unwanted promotional content, manipulate engagement, or use automation to manufacture activity or interfere with normal use of Ambobs.

Respect the law

Content and activity on Ambobs must comply with applicable law. Ambobs is a place for conversation and publishing, not a place to organize or facilitate serious wrongdoing.

How these guidelines are applied

These are practical community standards, not a promise that every disagreement will result in moderation. Ambobs may act when behavior is clearly abusive, deceptive, harmful, unlawful, or disruptive to the service. Depending on the circumstances, that can include removing content, limiting features, or restricting an account.

About concerns

Ambobs does not currently provide a dedicated public reporting workflow for every type of community concern. If a particular account or feature provides a way to contact the service about an issue, you may use that available channel. Otherwise, these guidelines are primarily here to make the expectations of participating on Ambobs clear rather than to create a reporting system that does not exist.
